Spring Shall Come Again

     Winter is not my favorite season. I'm cold and miserable most of the time. Since Snowmageddom 2011, I haven't been outside much. I don't have to look at the temperature to know its cold. I just look out the window. It looks cold so I stay inside.
     On the way home from the grocery store today, I realized that it is almost February and that means it is almost March. Wow!! Spring is coming!!!
     Now it may be almost 4-6 weeks away, but I got brave and decided to take a walk outside of my house and this is what I found....Proof

Here is proof that Spring is coming

     My tulips are peaking up out of the ground. Soon enough they will be blooming and it will be bearable outside. Just seeing these little green buds give me hope that Spring is coming, Joy!
     Sometime,s when I am going through a bad time in my life I have a hard time having hope that Joy will eventually come to me. Sometimes, life does not look very promising, however, we can know that God is faithful. Hope and Joy can eventually come to us. I was reminded of a hymn often sung at churches "Great is Thy Faithfulness":

Summer and winter, and spring-time and harvest,
Sun moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see;
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy Faithulness, Lord unto me!

Spring shall come whether or not I am prepared. I can do nothing to hasten it or prolong the joy of the season. The days get longer and warmer, my tulips arise from the cold ground, and God remains faithful to my needs.

Because of the Lords great love we are not consumed,
     for his compassions never fail,
They are new every morning;
     great is your faithfulness
I say to myself, "The Lord is my portion;
     therefore I will wait for him."

Lamentations 3:22-24
