So I thought I would blog about our recent puppy adventure. Above is Toby our new puppy. He followed my friend home while she was running. They posted lost dog notices in the neighborhood and no one has claimed him yet. So we did! We've had him for about 10 days now and he has shown to be a pretty good dog. He is probably a chihuahua/rat terrier mix. He is already 8 1/2 pounds and he has a distinctive underbite.
Last weekend we took him for a ride on the boat. He had a pretty good time and practiced some swimming. Here he is with Mom.
He's going to Puppy Obedience school at PetSmart every Tuesday for 6 weeks. So I am busy housebreaking and training him. My friend is keeping him on the days I work to socialize/play/train him also. He's responding fairly well to training and I'm learning a lot too.
