NYC DAY TWO

Whew! We covered some territory today. Emily and I started out fairly early after a late night seeing Arcadia. I will comment on that at a later date. :-/ we ate some breakfast at a cafe and headed to the subway. There was snow on the cars and in the gutters this morning and light snow falling. We walked to the West side to catch the A train. This was our first subway experience this trip. Later in the day I bought a souvenir shirt that is, no joke, a exact map of the subway. It was close to the cost of a subway map and I can definately use it more in the future. We joked that tomorrow I will wear it under my sweater and we will refer to it from time to time to plan our travels. First stop was Greenwich Village. We didn't find a whole lot to see there. There wet lots of college kids walking about though.
Then we went to Soho, which stands for South of Houston street. There is a lot of boutiquey shopping there. We ate lunch at a cafe an then took the subway to China Town. China town was great! I ate shrimp and crab dumplings at The Dumplings House. I got to drink a Japanese green tea and milk tapioca drink, a type of beverage that I haven't had in years. We did some browsing around the town and then headed back to the Hotel for a break.
After a little rest we went uptown towards central park to Columbus Circle and Time Warner center. For dinner we ate at Serafina, a small italian restaurant. The above picture is my heart shaped lobster raviolli with lobster bisque sauce. It had lemongrass in it. We then went searching for dessert and finally we found a place near the hotel. We are hoping to get an earlier start tomorrow, our last full day here. Tomorrow should be sunny and warmer!
